From the beginning of 2003 "Slavutich" beer and soft drinks plant has sold 18,66 million decilitres of beer. Including November 2003 - 1,43 million decilitres, that is 10 % more than for the same period of 2002, informed the press service of "Slavutich" beer and soft drinks plant. In the current year "Slavutich" beer and soft drinks plant started production of 4 new sorts: "Slavutich - alcohol free", "Slavytich red", "Slavutich Weiss", "Arsenal Light". In total the plant produces 15 sorts of beer. In September 19, 2003 the plant got the certificates of integrated system of product quality and environment control ISO 9001-2000 and ISO14001-1996. "Slavutich" beer and soft drinks plant is founded on the basis of Zaporozhye brewery 2. In 1993 firm became JSC. The working control belongs to "Baltic Beverages Holding", founded by the companies "Hartwall" (Finland), "Pripps" (Sweden) and "Ringnes" (Norway). In 2002 "Slavutich" beer and soft drinks plant sold 19,37 million decilitres of beer. Its production covers up to 14 % of the Ukrainian beer market.

Beer market upsets brewers
The head of "Russian Brewers Union", the president of "Baltica" JSC Taimuraz Bolloev has declared, that the branch he heads, loses the attractiveness for the businessmen. "Now there is no investment approach, as it was earlier. Moreover there are a lot of people wishing to sell their business. "The reason of it is the absence of perspective and state support ", - the chairman of "Russian Brewers Union" regrets. According to Mr. Bolloev, contrasted to the last year beer production in this country will be increased in 2003 no more than 3 %, whereas in 2002 the volume of production contrasted to 2001 grew 10,1 % (702 million decilitres). The head of "Russian Brewers Union" considers, that brewing branch experiences severe problems, especially it concerns small and medium companies, where production is reduced 30-40%. Taimuraz Bolloev explains low growth of production volumes by unreasoned excise and fiscal policy of the state. Thus "there is no saturation of the Russian beer market", Mr. Bolloev considers. "It would be possible to speak about it only in case we have reached at least European consumption level per capita. Our consumption level is twice lower than European one ", - marked Mr.Bolloev.

Kirishsk glass plant will increase production of bottles twice
The project of glass bottle production dilating at Kirishsk glass plant is a building of the second shop with three lines of 220 million bottles annually. The building will begin in March 2004, and the start is planned to 2005. The volume of the investments in building is $20 millions. Now the company negotiates to engage the credits of the Czech company "Interbanka A. S", which granted the bound credit for the building of the first line of the plant in 2001. The volume of borrowing means can amount to more than 85 % of the project's budget. The largest share of Kirishsk plant deliveries in Russia will be aimed at regional plants of "Baltica" brewing company. Thus even after the start of the second shop the main customer of plant's production in St.-Petersburg (50 %) will also remain "Baltica". 10 % of deliveries go to "Heineken Brewery". The first line of the shop with annual power of 226 million bottles was started in December 2002. According to the company's calculations, after the start of the new shop the share of the main customer, "Baltica" JSC, will not change. As Tatiana Abramova, the deputy director of "North-West glass company" (structure of "Kirishsk glass plant") said, half a year before the start of the line the company will conduct researches of the market and will determine colour of the glass. "Beer branch is inclined to produce canned beer, and if the tendency receives development, we shall be compelled to redirected on wine and vodka branch. Accordingly we'll produce white and green "wine" glass. However, it does not influence the cost price", - she said. By the estimations of "Baltica" brewing company, the market capacity for beer glass bottles in St.-Petersburg makes 10-15 million bottles per month. According to "Baltica", on the background of growth of requirement in aluminium can the requirement for glass will not be diminished. In the Leningrad area Kirishsk plant has only one potential competitor - "Veda-PAK" (Kingisepp), which also plans to adjust production of dark beer bottles in 2004, but the production volume is not determined yet. Thus the volume of vodka container from "Veda-PAK" since 2004 will make about 300 million bottles (after the start of the second sequential queue of the plant in December, 2003), and the requirement of Northwest area vodka branch in glass bottles makes 400 million bottles annually. In brewing branch the growth of requirement in transparent glass is forecasted (today colourless container is used only in production of "Miller" and "Tinkoff" beer), and also in non-standard shape bottles. In 2004 "Baltica" plans to produce beer in transparent bottles and (it is planned to purchase containers only from the regional producers).

"Patra" JSC increased volume of production 4 %
The volume of production of "Patra" JSC for 11 months of 2003 increased 4 % contrasted to the same period of 2002, up to 794 million 233 thousand roubles, the press service of the company informed. The totals of "Volga" brewing company activity in November 2003 are made
The plan of production sales of "Volga" brewing company was exceeded 15%. The volume of beer sales in November amounted to 480 thousand decilitres, that is 26 % more than in November 2002. Thus the sales of the trademark "Rusich" amounted to 85 thousand decilitres (+ 33 % by November, 2002), and the trademarks "Okskoye" - 395 thousand decilitres (+ 25 % by November, 2002). For eleven months of the current year 6 million 220 thousand decilitres of beer were produced (+ 44 % to the same period of 2002). Sales volume amounted to740 million roubles, that 70 % exceeds the sum from the sold production for the same period of the last year. Under the forecasts of the analytical centre of the company, the annual plan of sales for 2003 - 6 millions 420 thousand decilitres will be executed in the first decade of December. Under last data of "Business Analytica" CSC, in October the share of "Volga" brewing company in the Nizhniy Novgorod market of beer makes 34 % (+ 4 % by January, 2003). "Pikra" increases beer sales volumes
For 11 months of 2003 "Pikra" company (Krasnoyarsk) sold 908,8 thousand hectolitres of beer. Beer sales volume was increased 36 % compared to the same period of the last year. The main brands of the company are "Kupecheskoye" and "Legenda". For this period the company sold 215,8 thousand hectolitres of soft drinks and mineral water. The sales of alcohol free production in 2003 grew 44 % compared to the sales of 2002.
